About <Gen-it>

The <Gen-it> initiative was started in august 2000 by R. Brongers and J. Verhart, two former consultants at Ernst & Young Consulting, currently employed with Big5 and Tri-it. During their work they were frequently involved in using codegenerators and constructing codegenerators for Powrbuilder, Java and Visual Basic. In their experience codegeneration is one of the best accelerators in development projects. By automating some of the tedious chores in application development not only productivity but quality increases.

When they learned more about XSLT they became convinced that generating code using XSLT would be possible, even simple and that it would eliminate the use of proprietary and/or expensive tools that are to rigid or to complex to generate the code that you need.
