Welcome to <Gen-it.com>. Home of the open source codegeneration language.

<Gen-it> is a initiative that is dedicated to generating source code for a number of programming languages (including Visual Basic, Java (EJB), C#, C++, COM and SQL) using the XML and XSLT standards and free available products.

<Gen-it> uses XML files that describe a database model or a class model. Using the XSLT language this definition is transformed to source code for any programming language. This sourcecode can contain anything: business objects, data access objects, gui, SQL data definition, Stored procedures and more.

Because <Gen-it> is based on the open standards XML and XSLT and uses free available products (see our links page), using <Gen-it> is absolutely free. On this website you will find more information on how to use <Gen-it> and how to create your own templates. <Gen-it> will try to provide as many templates as possible and we encourage you to submit your own templates to info@gen-it.com to expand our template library.

The only cost to using <Gen-it> is that you have to sign our guestbook when you have used <Gen-it> succesfully in one of your projects!

If you think that all of this is a bit to much trouble but you are interested in generating much of your projects code, visit www.codagen.com. They have excellent tools and professionals to help you boost your projects productivity.

You can sign up for the <Gen-it> mailing list. We'll keep you up-to-date with what is happening to <Gen-it>.

Future plans
We plan to provide support for XSD as the input for the <Gen-it> templates in the near future.
